- Room by Emma Donoghue
- Far from the Madding Crowd by Thomas Hardy
Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee- The Miniaturist by Jessie Burton
- The Fifties by David Halberstam
- The Art of Fielding by Chad Harbach
A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson- American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis
- The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry by Rachel Joyce
- The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck
- Disgrace by J.M. Coetzee
- A Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway
- Shogun by James Clavell
- Brooklyn by Colm Tóibín

However, these listed are not the only books I will read this year (and to be honest I have a hard time keeping to a list), so feel free to send me recommendations of books you have loved – both old and new.
2016 Reading Challenge
Sarah has
read 13 books toward her goal of 50 books.
read 13 books toward her goal of 50 books.
I’m planning on reading 2, 3 and 4 too 🙂
great list. I love Tóibín but haven’t read Brooklyn. I didn’t really like Go Set a Watchman. Doesn’t come close to TKAM
Thanks! Great input. I’ve heard similar reviews of Go Set a Watchman, but I still have to read it. My expectations are low though, since I enjoyed To Kill a Mockingbird so much.
