I’ve chosen to read a book about the following places:
- China: Shanghai Girls by Lisa See
- Egypt: Midaq Alley by Naguib Mahfouz
- Gibraltar: A Dangerous Place by Jacqueline Winspear
- Haiti: The Boiling Season by Christopher Hebert
- Ireland: The Dubliners by James Joyce
- Liechtenstein: Escape to Liechtenstein by Ed Dunlap
- Montenegro: The Devil’s Own by Sandra Brown
- Portugal: The High Mountains of Portugal by Yann Martel
Good luck. I’ve got one under my belt – The Dubliners.
I think that is probably the toughest one in the group, so that is awesome that you read it already!

This sounds like a pretty fun challenge! I’m going to have to keep that one in mind. 😀
Good luck!
