It’s almost time! After a few very busy workweeks and weekends, I am looking forward to focusing on my reading life again by participating in this weekend’s 24in48 Readathon.
For those who have never participated in this readathon before, it begins at 12:01am (EST) on Saturday, July 21 and ends at 11:59pm (EST) on Sunday, July 22. During this 48-hour period of time, you try to read for at least 24 hours. I tracked my time during the last 24in48 Readathon by using the stopwatch on my phone, though I have a fear that I will be close to 24 hours when I will accidentally cancel my timer. I welcome any other suggestions.
If you want to participate, please go to the Sign-up page. I recommend signing up even if you don’t think you will read for the full 24 hours. Just by signing up, you are entered into free prizes, which is a nice benefit for participating. There are also challenges throughout the 48-hour period to give you a little break from reading.
Readathon TBR
I don’t believe I will actually read all these books over the course of the weekend, but I like to be prepared. During readathons, I also like to read in different platforms, which include: e-books, audiobooks and physical books. Here is my pile:
Kindle E-books (all NetGalley ARCs):
Audiobooks (via my library’s free Libby app):
Books (physical):
I’ll be giving updates on my Twitter and Litsy handle @Morr_Books. Good luck to all those participating!
Happy Reading!
How did you do? I managed 13 hours which I’m pretty happy with as it was my first time.
I’ve heard good things about Bonfire – did you get around to reading it?
Unfortunately, I had an out-of-state family emergency, so I only got 11 hours of reading, while traveling, which was mostly listening to “Mindhunter” on audiobook. I’ll have to try to do better next time.
