Time for another WWW Wednesdays, which is brought to you by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words. If you too want to participate, answer the above questions and post that link on Sam’s page.

It turns out that taking a break from work and life and spending more than a week on the ocean in the Caribbean, helped me make some progress on my NetGalley backlog and my Winter Reading List. Then I picked up a bit of a cold, which prevented me from reading for a few days.

You will see a lot of Zadie Smith in my upcoming reads as she is the author I am focusing on reading more of in January. (See my 2019 A Focus on Authors Reading Challenge)

    • The Notorious RBG was wonderful. She is an amazing human being, and I hope she recovers and gets back to the Court soon. We need her! Thanks for including your post. I’ll go check it out now. 🙂

    • I’m a good ways into White Teeth, which is a really heavy read. It is character driven and has an interesting look at cultures and relationships. I’m still on the fence on how I feel about it though.

  1. I need to read The Notorious RBG; it’s on my TBR and I know it will be good. I really admire her. I’ve only read Swing Time and enjoyed it, but I have Smith’s other books on my TBR. I’ll be interested in how you like her other books. You’ve got so many good reads on here!

    • Yeah…my opinion is an unpopular one, but I just can’t stand Roxanne Gay’s style. I thought I would try again with Hunger after I was not thrilled with Bad Feminist, but I had the same reaction. I’ve been collecting Zadie Smith for a while, so I am happy to finally be reading some of her work.
