This was an audiobook heavy week. Turns out that I got a puzzle for my birthday and have been loving my time audio-puzzling.

HAPPY READING!!!
Oh you are in for such a treat with We Have Always Lived in the Castle – love that book! Also, yes, that cake is amazing!!
I’m looking forward to that Shirley Jackson. I’ve held off watching the Netflix series until I read the book. However, I already watched most of the Haunting of Hill House Netflix series, so I will have to just compare and contrast with that one.
Iโve read both Shirley Jackson books and enjoyed it. House of Leaves and Girls of Murder City look interesting…
Belated happy birthday to you!๐
Next time you are in a bookstore, page through a copy of House of Leaves. It is definitely the most unique book I’ve ever read. Thank you for the birthday wishes!
Will keep that in mind! ๐
Happy reading.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on The Girls of Murder City.
I have Force of Nature on my Kindle…must bring it forward!
The Anita Hughes book caught my eye…I’ve enjoyed some of her books.
Thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog.
A friend loaned me his copy of Force of Nature months ago. I am just now getting to it. I’ve been feeling guilty about keeping his book so long. The Anita Hughes book is good so far and is going to be released on Tuesday. Have a great week!
Happy Birthday, Sarah and that is an awesome cake! ๐ As for reading, I would be interested to read your thoughts on The Lottery, as I haven’t read that Jackson collection, and I still hope you will enjoy We Have Always Lived in the Castle. Happy reading! ๐
Thank you for the birthday wishes! I did not love the Shirley Jackson short stories collection. A few stories were good and some were meh, but then it concludes with The Lottery, which was far superior but also very disturbing.
Aw that’s shame, but some authors are better than others at short stories. I’ve only read Daphne du Maurier who was great at both.
I’ve only read her book Rebecca, but I have Jamaica Inn and now will definitely look into her short stories as well. Thanks!
You’re welcome. I have read her collections The Birds & Other Short Stories and The Doll: Short Stories. I hope you enjoy Jamaica Inn – it’s not my favourite but still very, very good. ๐
Happy belated birthday!!
Iโve also been listening to audiobooks recently. It makes my commute a little happier ๐
Thank you! Well if your commute is as awful as mine, audiobooks are definitely the way to go. I also listen to the Happier podcast…lol. ๐
Iโll have to check that out! Thank you!
Happy belated bday! That cake looks amazeballs!
Thank you! It tastes as good as it looks! ๐
That cake!!! ๐๐๐
Happy Reading! ๐
I know right! It is based off of my personal Pride and Prejudice book, but it almost looks better. ๐
