OH MY GOODNESS! Congratulations on finishing your Goodreads reading challenge! That is amazing.
I know! It is crazy! I thought that there was no way I would read that many books this year. I almost feel like I should stop reading for the rest of the year, but that will never happen. 🙂

We Have Always Lived in the Castle has been sat on my bookshelf for a while; will be interested to hear what you think of it 🙂
I actually just started that one. There is definitely a gloomy and spooky feeling about it so far. I’m excited to finally be reading it.
Loved We Have Always Lived in the Castle – the narrator is a brilliant character. How is the Jane Harper so far – I have two of her books on my to read shelf….
I read Jane Harper’s The Dry last year and enjoyed it enough to give her second book in the series a read, which is high praise from me, because I have a hard time committing to series.

I see some common theme here! Nice list. The Big Sleep is on my list of classics to read within 5 years. And I really need to try Jane Harper!!
Yes….my theme is scare myself enough so I don’t sleep for days. LOL. The Big Sleep is a reread for me as it was picked to discuss in one of my book clubs. I highly recommend it! Raymond Chandler is my favorite classics noir writer. His Philip Marlowe books are just amazing – thrilling and funny at the same time. The Big Sleep is definitely a fun, quick read. You should read Jane Harper’s The Dry.
oh and I forgot, congrats for reaching 100 books! I’m currently at 86, so I hope to reach around 110

Glad to see you rated House of Leaves so high! I hope you enjoy The Haunting of Hill House too. I read it last year and really enjoyed it.

I was amazed at how much House of Leaves actually affected me. It was so unsettling. I’m trying to write my review on it, but it is hard to put that book into words.
Shirley Jackson books are perfect for autumn! I read The Haunting of Hill House in November last year, it was very atmospheric. Enjoy!

I figured I could read We Have Always Lived in the Castle & The Haunting of Hill House and then binge the Netflix series. Seems like a good way to spend October.
