I had my first vitual book club meeting last night. There were 8 of us total. It went really well and was a lot of fun. We were all drinking different adult beverages and had a lively discussion.

Sarah, looks like an interesting mix of books you’ve had on the go and lined up to read next, too. Also pleased to hear you enjoyed your first virtual book club meeting and that you could all enjoy a an adult beverage, as no one had to drive home! 😉Happy reading!
Here’s my WWW post this week: https://thebookwormchronicles.wordpress.com/2020/04/15/www-wednesday-15th-april-2020/ 🙂
I was pleasantly surprised how much fun the virtual book club was. Though it isn’t the same as meeting up in person, it is better than not being able to do it at all. 🙂
A virtual book club sounds awesome! I read Anna Karenina last year and it became one of my favorite classics. I hope you’re enjoying it!
Yeah, I really enjoyed the virtual book club! Glad we were still able to do something like that. It was good to see everyone! I am reading Anna Karenina with a friend. I am glad I am reading this one as a buddy read, because I think it adds value to discuss it as you read. Plus, I sometimes need that push to complete longer books. 🙂
I really want to read Fly Girls! I have my first virtual book club this weekend and I wasn’t totally looking forward to it but it sounds like you had fun so I will be positive and hope that I will too. Normally I get way to excited and blab too much so maybe the virtual will keep me a bit calmer.

The virtual book club was wonderful! Eight of us attended and no one talked over each other. Plus, at the end, we all discussed different things that we were doing to keep busy during this time. I got some good recommendations. 🙂
You’ve got quite an interesting mix of books there! Is the Agathe Christie any good? I’ve been wanting to read more by her!
Murder with Mirrors is part of Christie’s Miss Marple series. I’ve just started it, so she is setting up the scene and introducing characters. I am guessing murder is going to occur next. I love Agatha Christie books! I’ve read a lot of them so far. My favorites include: The Mysterious Affair at Styles, And Then There Were None, Ordeal of Innocence, Murder on the Orient Express and the A.B.C. Murders. I’ve also read others in the Miss Marple series, including The Body in the Library and Pocket Full of Rye. Those are my recommendations so far. I just think her mysteries are the best! Hope you get a chance to read more of her!
Thank you for the recommendations!!! I read ‘And Then There Were None’ and loved it so I’ll definitely check the others out!
