I had a great week of reading thanks to Dewey’s 24-hour Readathon. Check out my readathon wrap-up. I always have such a good time! This is the second time in a row that I stayed up for the full 24 hours. I am happy with the results. I completed 5 books and read 1,200 pages. I’ve been needing to jump start my reading life again, and this definitely helped.

STAY SAFE AND KEEP READING!
I read Mary Trump’s book when it first came out. I see that you didn’t enjoy it?
I just downloaded Girls of Brackenhill, and have liked some other Kate Moretti books.
The presence of a Nancy Drew book on your stack reawakens old memories!
Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.
I’m enjoying listening to the Nancy Drew series on audio as Laura Linney is the narrator. She does an amazing job! Unfortunately, I did not like the Mary Trump book. I expected it to be a tell all of the Trump family’s poor business dealings and tax evasion, but most of that did not come until the very end of the book and by then, even if everything she says is the truth and valid, it just seems like a personal vendetta, because she was denied an adequate share of the Trump inheritance. Mostly this book was just another memoir of a very dysfunctional family. I do think it does give some insight on why Donald Trump is the way he is. I think though that I prefer Bob Woodward’s books.
I felt the same way about Mary Trump’s book, I felt like I was listening to her rant about her personal grievances with her family rather than the tea I was expected about Donald
Wow! Interesting titles you’ve got here! How’s In Cold Blood? It’s been on my TBR for quite a long time…
Read In Cold Blood and Maybe You Should Talk to Someone (recently reviewed this one on http://powerfulwomenreaders.wordpress.com)
